Nzo Deano bibshorts

Legs are held in place by tailored cuffs, not silicone gripper, which makes the Deano very friendly for riders who don't shave their legs (not that there is anything wrong with that ;-).

The 'body' part of the garment is made of mesh with stretch binding, the legs are made of two grades of lycra, balanced perfectly on the spectrum of tough vs lightweight.

The magic is in the seat pad, where we don't go crazy with heavy duty foamage. We believe that the path to comfort on a bicycle saddle is spending time on a bicycle saddle, pure and simple. A seat pad takes the edge off and prevents chafing, but especially for mountain biking applications should not be thick enough to be noticeable. Ours is exactly in the sweet spot of that equation, and the same one we use in our Cruiseliner Deluxe to great reviews.

An extra detail is the two small pockets in the middle of the back, for stashing important items you don't want to lose.

Deanos are machine washable, use a cold wash and put them in with similar colours.

Do not bleach, please don't tumble dry and no dry cleaning!

Are Deanos unisex?
Yes! Cruiseliners fit both men and women comfortably. They feature stretch fabrics and a simple seat pad design that functions well for both men and women. One of our most ardent Deanos fans is a woman. However, bib shorts present a challenge for times when nature calls. Shoulder straps worn under a top mean complete removal of the top before the shorts can be lowered. Guys will only run into that issue when they are delivering number twos, but women will experience the need to get pretty much naked for any visit to the facilities. This is either a side issue you can live with, or it isn't. From Gaz @ Nzo: Personally, if I am going further than 50kms, especially on a road bike, I choose Deanos and live with the occasional bathroom gymnastics.

Do Deanos have padding?
Deanos have a laminated and antibacterial pad made from polyester/elastane and high density foam to provide saddle comfort on long rides. We can sourec much bigger anmd thicker pads than the one we chose, because we think mountain biking requires less padding and more importantly, freedom of movement on and off the saddle. We reckon the pad we use hits the sweet spot.

What are Deanos made from?
The leg panels are polyester/elastane selected to balance optimal stretch with stability, so the pad stays in place on your body. The body panels are polyester mesh to keep the heat buildup minimal. A stretch binding is used around the edge of the mesh for stability and durability.

How should I wash them?
Keep it super simple by machine washing with like colours, ditch the dry cleaner and tumble dryer and hang them out ready for your next ride.

How should I wear them?
Always wear the Deanos directly against your skin, not over undies. It means you will need to launder them after every ride, but that is a small price to pay for deluxe comfort on the bike. It's also a great excuse to have several pairs!
