We reckon the latest version of our 247s are the best iteration of a design twenty years in the making. Developed through samples beyond count and half a dozen or so production models you will find this one is the best, for all around functionality and style.

Slim enough in the lower leg to be absolutely bike-friendly, loose fitting enough around the knee to allow pads to go underneath, and styled generally to make the product as useful for everyday life as it is for adventuring.

We honestly believe your investment in a product like this shouldn't limit your opportunities to wear them - the styling of these pants will not look out of place wherever you take them.

Features

The completely secure but easy to adjust waist system the product shares with Sifters is an Nzo standard. Pull tabs on both sides double back through D-Rings so that the velcro holding them in place is pulling sideways - they will not come loose. But halfway through a six-hour epic, grab the tabs, peel the velcro, tug them back, and re-secure. Or, if you just ate something big because you deserved it, do the reverse.

The two hand pockets and two zip pockets are an Nzo signature that Bikepacking.com called 'perfect'. We concur... Gaz carries his multimillion dollar phone in the open hand pocket and even though he is upside down more often than he would like to admit, the phone stays in place.

A crotch gusset keeps the nether region moving freely and the small ankle gussets make slipping the cuffs over your feet easy.

We've had a sample pair on high rotation for six months and they are our favourite thing to ride in if we feel like wearing longs. We have completed some big trail rides in these pants, they are absolute luxury.

Fabric & Care

247s are machine washable, use a cold wash and put them in with similar colours.

Do not bleach, please don't tumble dry and no dry cleaning!

Product FAQ's

Are 247s unisex?
Yep! 247s are designed to fit both men and women comfortably. They feature stretch fabrics and a very adjustable waist that adapt to a wide range of body shapes.

Do 247s have padding?
247s don't have padding built in, but you can team them up with Cruiseliners, or our Deano bibshorts. Sifters have a seamless crotch gusset designed to work well with pedalling, and the Nzo gang are inclined to wear them with cotton or merino short leg undies. We don't reckon mountain bike riding needs much in the way of padding, but we are here for you if you do!

Can 247s be worn with knee pads?
Absolutely! The legs are slim, but not skin tight. That is what makes the 247s double as streetwear - and what makes kneepads feel so good under them. The fabric has heaps of stretch, which also helps a lot!

What are 247s made from?
247s are built from a clever Nzo fabric we call NzoFlex. It's a quick-dry nylon/elastane blend with serious durability and heaps of four-way stretch.
This stuff makes 247s tough, flexible, and ridiculously comfortable.

How should I wash them?
Keep it super simple by machine washing with like colours, ditch the dry cleaner and tumble dryer and hang them out ready for your next ride.

Made to endure

Nzo products have a reputation for durability. We are not sure whether that is because our stuff really lasts longer than average, or maybe our customers are the kind of people that keep things they love for a long time. Either way, it is the happy outcome of many years of product testing and refinement by our founders.

If we don't use it, we don't sell it. We use the stuff we design and make in as many conditions as we can find, sometimes all in one glorious outing like the one in this slideshow, the Old Ghost Road on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand. Products pushed to the limit on this trip were 247s, Gravelator, Short Sleeve Baselayer, Dobies, and Sifters. All are still in regular rotation.
